Privacy Policy

ValoRank (vstats.xyz) is a free, fan-made Valorant stats and leaderboard tool. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled. It's issued by the individual operator of the site, referred to below as "vStats," "we," "us," or "the Operator."

1. Data we collect

We never see or store your Riot password — all login happens through Riot's own Sign-On (RSO) page.

2. Cookies & similar technologies

Session cookie (essential): keeps you logged in. Expires after 30 days of inactivity, or immediately when you log out.

3. Third parties we share data with

Riot Games — RSO login and the official Valorant API.
Render (hosting) and Redis (session/cache storage) — infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

The Operator is based in Italy, so processing is carried out under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — processing needed to provide the service you request, e.g. displaying your stats after you log in.
Consent — given when you choose to log in with Riot. You can withdraw consent at any time by logging out or unlinking your account.
Legitimate interest — e.g. using your IP address to enforce one poll vote per person, and preventing impersonation when verifying a Riot ID link.

5. International data transfers

Our hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. Render, Redis) may process data on servers located outside Italy or the EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for cross-border transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. How long we keep data

Session data: up to 30 days, or until you log out.
Poll vote record (IP-based): up to 1 year, to enforce one vote per person.
Verified Riot ID: kept until you unlink it or ask us to delete it.
Searched Riot IDs (search index): retained to power autocomplete; a Riot ID can be removed on request.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to certain processing
Receive your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal

You can log out at any time to clear your session. To exercise any of the above, email us at contact@vstats.xyz. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), or with the supervisory authority in your own EU country of residence.

8. Children's privacy

Under Italian law implementing GDPR Article 8 (Legislative Decree No. 101/2018), the minimum age to consent to data processing without parental authorization is 14. ValoRank is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under this age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
